Daily crude oil output from my country's northernmost offshore oil field exceeds 1,000 cubic meters

Jinzhou 9-3 Oilfield, affiliated to CNOOC Tianjin Branch, is located in the northern part of Liaodong Bay of the Bohai Sea. It is the northernmost offshore oilfield with the shallowest water depth and the highest latitude in my country. The oil field has 6 production platforms and is a comprehensive offshore production unit integrating oil and gas extraction, processing and export.

The oil field was put into production in 1999. In recent years, while stabilizing oil and controlling water, the oilfield has increased efforts to tap its remaining oil potential. Oilfield staff combined static data with dynamic data, and based on the understanding that the remaining oil near the fault was relatively enriched, they increased liquid extraction in this area and found a new growth point for the oilfield production.

"The new adjustment well project in 2023 has a significant effect on increasing production. It not only improves the injection and production well network, but also develops remaining oil and improves the economic benefits of the oil field." CNOOC Tianjin Branch said the chief engineer of Liaodong Operation Company.
